Wickersham Construction was awarded the Ceiling Replacement project at the Turkey Hill Dairy plant in Lancaster, PA. Turkey Hill Dairy is a top client for our Industrial Services Division. The nature of this specific project required careful coordination with the maintenance management personnel in order to work around existing equipment, piping and production. This one-week shutdown work required a 24′ high, 10,000 SF ceiling to be demolished and replaced. It began with a 16-man crew to demo the ceiling in one 12-hour shift. Installation followed with two 8-man crews working around the clock from Sunday to Saturday. Approximately 1/3 of the new ceiling tiles required adjustment to accommodate penetrations. It was not an easy task, but our Industrial Services crews completed the project safely, on time and on budget.
