Lancaster Marriott Expansion: Concrete

Wickersham Construction was the concrete contractor selected to self-perform the structural concrete package of the Downtown Lancaster Marriott project. The new 13-story poured-in-place concrete building addition utilized a post tension reinforcement system, which required less rebar and created more usable space for HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems on each floor.

A tower crane lifted concrete buckets and other building materials to feed the construction of each story. With the help of our subcontractors, the 13 stories were built through rain, snow and shine over a period of several winter months. The addition is situated in downtown Lancaster’s Penn Square, offering additional rooms and a roof-top restaurant and bar to the original neighboring Marriott hotel. We are proud to have worked with High Construction and many other subcontractors on this incredible project in our Lancaster community. Wickersham Construction originated just a few blocks away in 1906 and has remained a Lancaster contractor since.
