Wickersham Construction was selected as the general contractor for this project which consisted of a new regional terminal building for the Harrisburg International Airport. Deep foundations and a cast-in-place concrete structure were self-performed by Wickersham Construction to support the structural steel frame for the roof.
This project was constructed in the winter months, requiring concrete blankets and temporary heat to maintain curing specifications. In addition, the site is located next to the Susquehanna River, so dewatering was necessary throughout the construction process.
