We are excited to work with PennDOT on this incredible project in Middletown, PA! The new train station is ADA accessible and includes an elevated 500′ level-boarding platform located between the East & West bound tracks. To access the boarding platform, two tower buildings will be constructed with a 74’ long enclosed pedestrian bridge spanning above three tracks. Each tower will be approximately three stories high, equipped with stairs and an elevator.
The project also includes a 1200 SF mechanical building and a bicycle pavilion. The adjacent 400-car parking lot will serve the train station and two bus shelters. Its proximity to the PSU Harrisburg Campus and the Middletown International Airport will bring together access by rail, vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian and airline.
Progress is moving along with the structures wrapping up and the finishing touches on the horizon. Wickersham is grateful for the opportunity to work with PennDOT on such an important project that will benefit the community tremendously. Stay tuned for the completion!
