Nestled in the heart of Carroll County, the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company is the the anchor of the Hampstead, MD community. The new fire station was phase 2 of a three-phased project. Phase 1 entailed building a new, temporary fire station so that operations could continue without disruptions. After the temporary fire house was built, the company “moved shop” into the temporary building so we could demo their existing fire station and build the new one in phase 2. The fire company is now enjoying their beautiful 5-apparatus bay fire station complete with a 10-bed bunk house, offices, conference room, training room, watch room, state-of-the-art kitchen and day room. In phase 3, we will convert the temporary fire station into a new event center for the fire company.
This project combines two building types – a pre-engineered metal building for the apparatus bays and a conventional block building for the bunk house and offices. We are grateful to have worked on such a special project for the brave heroes of the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company.
